French Cleat Hook — Fusion add-in
Adds a French cleat hook (and optionally a bottom standoff) to a plywood side panel. The result is a normal sketch + join extrude with plain values — no user parameters.
Before — a plain side panel:
After — the hook is joined onto the panel's top-back corner:
Install
- In Fusion: Utilities → Add-Ins → Scripts and Add-Ins (Shift+S).
- On the Add-Ins tab, click + and pick the
FrenchCleat/folder of this repo. - Select FrenchCleat and click Run (tick Run on Startup if you like).
The French Cleat Hook command appears in Solid → Create.
Use
- Pick the edge that runs through the ply thickness at the panel's top-back corner.
cleat_plyis filled in from its length. - If the hook points the wrong way (up instead of toward the wall), tick Flip.
- Optionally tick Add standoff and pick the bottom-back thickness edge.
